Onigiri or Matcha latte lover? Why not go to Mountain River Patisserie?
If you are an Onigiri (rice ball), matcha latte or Hojicha latte (roasted green tea) lover, I recommend you visit “Mountain River Patisserie”!
“Mountain River Patisserie” is located in Runcorn (South side of Brisbane), and is close to Fruitgrove station.
Fun fact, there are street names like “Mango street”, “Orange street” and “Lemon street” near the Fruitgrove station area. It’s super cute and unique!
Explore and find what’s best for you!

There are rich menu items from savory items like Onigiri or quiche, to sweets menus such as Hokkaido Cheesecake, Canele, and pudding.

There are also a variety of beverages such as coffee, matcha latte, hojicha latte, green tea, and hand-made mocktails.
Recently, I have seen matcha latte at a lot of cafes but it’s rare to find hojicha lattes, so I am pretty happy that I could order a hojicha latte at this cafe!

I ordered Aburi mentai mayo onigiri ($9.50) and Oat Matcha latte / cup size ($9.00) this time for my lunch.
The cup of Matcha latte was pretty cute and made me super happy! This matcha latte is not too sweet, which is my favorite taste!
Mentaiko is one of my top 3 favorite ingredients of Onigiri. I liked this Aburi mentai mayo onigiri!
I am not good at eating spicy food, but this Aburi mentai mayo onigiri was not too spicy so it was nice for me!
The Teri Oroshi onigiri ($10.50) I ate before was also amazing and refreshing!! (sorry…I don’t have a photo..)

I also ordered Matcha w/ matcha sake Canele ($6.50) and Oat Standard Hojicha latte / cup size ($8.00) as my treat after eating lunch!
I was curious about other sweets such as pudding and cake but canele is one of my favourite sweets and I also love matcha, so I ordered a match canele.
I didn’t order another flavor of canele because I was full, but I am also interested in other flavours like Hojicha or Black sesame.
The canele was stunning with a slight scent of matcha, and the outside was crunchy and the inside was springy and moist.
The hojicha latte’s balance of sweetness and nuttiness was good, and went well together with a less sweet matcha canele.
Cozy and pretty cafe interior

The cafe had a cozy and comfortable atmosphere with predominantly wood and gray aesthetics.
There were counter seats, table seats inside and some table seats outside.

The lights hanging from the ceiling were shaped like canele, they were super pretty (I want it!)!

The cafe sold accessories and stickers like the one in the photo above, also cups, matcha, and Chasen (tea whisk).

Moreover, dry flower bouquets were sold in this cafe. These bouquets were so pretty with vibrant colors!
Why not take a moment to relax at the cozy Mountain River Patisserie?
This time, I wrote about “Mountain River Patisserie” located in Runcorn (Australia – Brisbane).
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this cafe, nice conversations with the staff who are so friendly and kind, and also amazing onigiri, sweets, and beverages!
If you feel the urge “I want to eat onigiri!”, “I want to try hojicha latte”, “I want to take an amazing matcha latte at a cozy cafe”, I really recommend you to visit “Mountain River Patisserie”!!
